No need to destroy one's heart to see what's inside. What I possess seems far away to me, and what is gone becomes reality" - from Goethe's Faust.

Faust: A Tragedy (German: Faust. Eine Tragödie, or retrospectively Faust. Der Tragödie, erster Teil) is the first part of the tragic play Faust by Johann Wolfgang von Goethe, and is considered by many as the greatest work of German literature. It was first published in 1808. The first part of Faust is not divided into acts, but is structured as a sequence of scenes in a variety of settings.

Deus (styled as dEUS) is a rock band based in Antwerp, Belgium, whose only continuous members up to the present day are Tom Barman (vocals, guitars) and Klaas Janzoons (keyboards, violin). The rest of the band's line-up currently consists of drummer Stéphane Misseghers, bassist Alan Gevaert, and guitarist/backing vocalist Bruno De Groote. Formed in 1991, Deus began their career as a covers band, but soon began writing their own material

Faust, without hesitation, tells him that the beyond he speaks of does not bother him at all. He wants to smash this world to bits, and he does not care what happens to the other world. He takes all his joy from the earth he now inhabits and wants to know all of its secrets, and whatever happens in the next world is of no concern. Mephistopheles is pleased with this answer and encourages him to take the risk and to commit his life to him. He promises to give to Faust what no man has ever seen before. Faust tempers his expectations, however.

  • Vocals – André Savetier

A collaboration that spans the globe, André Savetier from Košice, Slovakia and Raymond Nelson from the northeast of the United States, bring us their debut "What I Saw". Having a shared passion of wave and hearts captured by the 80s, it was a match made in synth heaven. André Savetier, the founder and host of The Wave of Things, brings us introspective lyrics and poignant vocals. His work on the record is reflective of his haunting solo project and of his neofolk project Tenebris Obortis. With dynamic drums and a driving bass line, Raymond Nelson breaks into the scene with his enthralling melodies. His devotion to his music is evident in "What I Saw", giving us a taste of what's to come. The talented graphic designer Katarzyna Łukasik-Patoń ties the blend of dark and minimal wave together with her captivating album cover. "What I Saw" is a pledge to the 80s and a promise to the genre that will most definitely be an immersive and expressive album.
