Cheryl Lynn is the first studio album by the American singer Cheryl Lynn. It was officially released on October 13, 1978, by Columbia Records and included Lynn's first single and biggest hit "Got to Be Real". The album reached on the . pop albums charts and is regarded as her best record. It was certified Gold on February 23, 1979. Got to Be Real" – 5:07 (Cheryl Lynn, David Paich, David Foster). All My Lovin'" – 4:49 (Lynn). Star Love" – 7:23 (John Footman, Judy Weider).
Cheryl Lynn's final album for Columbia was a fitting conclusion to a tenure that had some chart hits but never jelled the way everyone felt it would (or should). Lynn got two more good numbers from the final effort, including the Jam/Lewis number "Fidelity," but again, there weren't enough songs to make the album a big success, nor did it have a unified concept or strategy. Lynn moved on to Manhattan the next year.
