Opportunities (Let's Make Lots of Money)" is a song by UK duo Pet Shop Boys, released as a single in 1985 and then in 1986, gaining greater popularity in both the United Kingdom and United States with its second release, reaching number 11 in the UK Singles Chart and number 10 in the US Billboard Hot 100. The song's indirect attack on its subject matter has come to exemplify the Pet Shop Boys as ironists in their songwriting.

Opportunities (оригинал Pet Shop Boys). Возможности (перевод Catherine Stav из Stavropol). I've got the brains, you've got the looks. Я умен, а ты привлекателен, Let's make lots of money. Давай сделаем на этом состояние! You've got the brawn, I've got the brains. Ты накачен, а я умен, Let's make lots of money. Давай заработаем много денег! I've had enough of scheming and messing around with jerks.
You can see I'm single-minded I know what I could be How'd you feel about it? Come and take a walk with me I'm looking for a partner Regardless of expense Think about it seriously You know it makes sense. Let's make Got the brains, got the looks Let's make lots of money Money Let's make You've got the brawn, I've got the brains Ooh Let's make lots of money Money. I've got the brains, you've got the looks Got the brains, got the looks Let's make lots of money Ooh money.

I've had enough of scheming. And messing around with jerks. My car is parked outside. I'm afraid it doesn't work. I'm looking for a partner. Someone who gets things fixed. Let's make lots of money. You can tell I'm educated. I studied at the Sorbonne. Doctored in mathematics. I could have been a don. I can program a computer. Choose the perfect time. If you've got the inclination.

This song was written during the Pet Shop Boys' formative years, in 1983. First released as a single in July 1985, it failed to chart on that occasion. A new version was mixed and the second release following the success of "West End Girls" resulted in a better performance becoming the only single from the band to chart higher in the US than the UK. Neil Tennant's lyrics were written as a satire of Thatcherism and its embodiment in conspicuous consumption in the United Kingdom during the 1980s. The Pet Shop singer penned them after keyboardist Chris Lowe, asked him to make.
Let’s make lots of. I’ve had enough of scheming and messing around with jerks. My car is parked outside, I’m afraid it doesn’t work. Ask yourself this question, "Do you want to be rich?" I’ve got the brains and you’ve got the looks. Let’s make lots of money. You’ve got the brawn, I’ve got the brains. You can tell I’m educated, I studied at the Sorbonne. Doctored in mathematics, I could have been a Don. I can program a computer, choose the perfect time. If you’ve got the inclination, I have got the crime. Oh, there’s a lot of opportunities. If you know when to take them, you know? There’s a lot of opportunities. If there aren’t, you can make them, make or break them.
These versions comprised the 'standard' single and extended versions. Produced by J. J. Jeczalik and Nicholas Froome. This set of mixes was based on the original production prior to the Please album. Remix by Ron Dean Miller. These are the Stephen Hague re-productions for the Please album.
