This album, MISTY EYED ADVENTURES, is in my humble opinion, her best solo album. On this album, Ms. Brennan sampled many different musical genres, mostly within the cultural instrumentation of her Celtic background, to create a unique tapestry of sounds and songs. most notably being the title track MISTY EYED ADVENTURES, which is, in my opinion, one of the loveliest songs to have ever been recorded. That said, Misty Eyed Adventures is a fantastic trip into the realm of Maire's voice. It is a wonderful song best left to the songstress herself.

Like the work of Clannad, the folk-rock group Maire Brennan has fronted since the early '70s, MISTY EYED ADVENTURES strategically melds elements of contemporary pop with traditional Celtic melodies and textures. The follow-up to her solo debut MAIRE, ADVENTURES continues in the same passionate, minor-key vein, creating sonic atmospheres that give rise to visions of enchanted forests and cold, deserted seascapes
