Radiation is the tenth studio album by the British neo-progressive rock band Marillion, released in 1998. Recorded at The Racket Club between November 1997 and June 1998, it was co-produced by Stewart Every. For this album the band decided to experiment with different instrument tones, vocal effects, samples (making segues between songs by cutting and pasting pieces from elsewhere in the album), and the like.
Radiation 4 biography RADIATION 4 was a Los Angeles-based Avant-garde Metal quartet formed in the spring of 2001 in Diamond Bar, California. Just as the band name indicates, the core of the project consisted of four members with vocalist Chris NEGRETE, guitarist Jon WINDHAM, bass player Jose ESCOBAR and percussionist Aaron WINDHAM. The band had a limited release of their self-titled EP in late 2001 which received recognition in the local circuits and gained them a recognition for playing an unusual blend of hardcore/metal mixed with avant-garde music.
Band Name Radiation 4. Album Name Wonderland. Other productions from Radiation 4. Wonderland. Albums in Experimental Metal.
Radiation 4 can be described as the result of Mr. Bungle, The Dillinger Escape Plan, and Fantomas having a watergun fight in a Silent Hill amusement park. The first track "Silence Fiction" is a great and merciful prelude to the album. The unsettling Close Encounters introduction leads into Negrete's crooning singing, almost like a ringmaster sucking you into the commencement of a demented circus act. Despite the in and out screaming, this track more or less keeps things calm.
