Alice in Wonderland is a 1951 American animated musical fantasy-adventure film produced by Walt Disney Productions and based on the Alice books by Lewis Carroll. The 13th release of Disney's animated features, the film premiered in London on July 26, 1951, and in New York City on July 28, 1951. The film features the voices of Kathryn Beaumont as Alice, Sterling Holloway as the Cheshire Cat, Verna Felton as the Queen of Hearts, and Ed Wynn as the Mad Hatter.
The film by Disney is a combination of Lewis Carroll’s The Adventures of Alice in Wonderland and Through the Looking-Glass. Disney’s retelling introduces us to Alice she listens to her history lesson while playing with her cat, Darna, while in the book she is sitting next to her sister reading a book. Since this is a children’s movie, it’s possible that Disney incorporated the subject of History in an educative manner to interest their children viewers in history. Children often look up at Disney princesses and characters as role models
This Alice In Wonderland Soundtrack CD is wonderful. With continuous music and songs from start to finish, including sound effects and select dialogue from the movie. No narration, just a genius mixing of elements from all the isolated tracks that someone was careful enough to keep since the master tapes were originally recorded Most of the Disney classics are real downers. The music in them is amazing, and the songs are great, but some really dark, depressing stuff happens to the lead characters, and somehow, this Alice is just fun, enchanting, and uplifting pretty much all the way through.

Walt Disney is a famous American artist, director, producer and creator of a series of full-length animated films that won him worldwide fame. He is a Doctor of Fine Arts, a winner of 7 Emmy Awards, 22 Academy Awards (Oscars), and Cecil B. DeMille Award. Additionally, he was awarded the highest civilian award of the . government – The Presidential Medal of Freedom. The new series, Alice Comedies, proved reasonably successful. Walt enthusiastically started working on n, Alice in Wonderland. In February 1924, they relocated to a new office located in a former real estate agency at 4651 Kingswell Avenue. Walt hired the first animator, Rollin Hamilton, and invited his old friend, Ubbe Iwerks, and his family to relocate to California to join The Disney Bros. Walt Disney’s hands were tied because the Oswald Rabbit trademark belonged to Universal Pictures and such animators as Friz Freleng, Carman Maxwell, Hugh Harman, and Rudy Ising were performing under the terms of the contracts signed with Universal Pictures. Declining to agree on reductions, most of their animators were hired away except Iwerks, who later would help Disney to create a new character, Mickey Mouse, that would become a triumph for Walt Disney and his studio. After losing the rights to Oswald the Lucky Rabbit, Walt Disney was understandably disappointed.
