Merry Christmas is a compilation album by Bing Crosby that was released in 1945 on Decca Records. It has remained in print through the vinyl, CD, and downloadable file eras, currently as the disc and digital album White Christmas on MCA Records, a part of the Universal Music Group, (reissued in June 1995) and currently on vinyl as Merry Christmas on Geffen Records (re-issued in September 2014).

This album (Bing Crosby's "White Christmas") is a true Classic. My mother had the album on 78 rpm records. The original title was "Merry Christmas", and it consisted of only eight of the present twelve songs. "Silver Bells", "It's Beginning to Look Like Christmas", "Christmas in Killarney" and "Mele Kalikimaka" were not included; they were added later. I bought the album on LP record in 1968, and just this. Bing Crosby, I believe, was the first to sing the song "White Christmas", first in the film "Holiday Inn" and later in the film "White Christmas". All of these songs have been recorded by countless artists in every musical style, but nobody ever sang "Jingle Bells" or "Santa Claus Is Coming to Town" like Bing, accompanied by the Andrews Sisters.
When the Bloom Is on the Sage. There's a Gold Mine in the Sky. Take Me Back to My Boots and Saddle. I'm an Old Cowhand (From the Rio Grande). Let's Start the New Year Right (original 78 album only). I'll Be Home for Christmas. Danny Boy (original 78 album only). Faith of Our Fathers. God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen.
BING CROSBY is a vocal jazz music artist. Bing Crosby was, without doubt, the most popular and influential media star of the first half of the 20th century. The undisputed best-selling artist until well into the rock era (with over half a billion records in circulation), the most popular radio star of all time, and the biggest box-office draw of the 1940s, Crosby dominated the entertainment world from the Depression until the mid-'50s, and proved just as influential as he was popular.
