Rapscallion may refer to: Rapscallion, space freighter in The Space Gypsy Adventures. The Rapscallions, antagonist army in the book The Long Patrol. The Rapscallions, a collegiate a cappella group from the 1980s. Rapp Scallion, a character in the game Monkey Island. The Last Superpower AKA Rapscallion", a song by Primus, from their 2003 EP Animals Should Not Try to Act Like People. RapScallions, an American rock band.
On The Plot In You's DISPOSE, their fourth full-length album, the band is virtually unrecognizable. Until now, the Ohio quartet's discography predominantly aligned with the metalcore genre: screaming vocals, heavy breakdowns, and mosh-inducing intensity. On their newest release, due out on Feb. 16 through Fearless Records and premiering below, vocalist Landon Tewers showcases a more mellow vulnerability through R&B-inspired clean vocals and an emotive delivery. The Plot In You's root heaviness is still present, to be sure, but the ferocity is counterbalanced by electronics,.

The Rapscallions, formed just four years earlier by four Bowling Green State University (Ohio) students, amazed the barbershop world when they won the 1984 international quartet championship in St. Louis, Missouri. The quartet, in fact, placed in the top ten internationally each of the three years they competed: ninth place in 1982, sixth in 1983, and first in 1984. Tenor Dave Smotzer, lead David Wallace, baritone Tim Frye, and bass Jeff Oxley formed the quartet in 1980 while working summer jobs in Cedar Point, Ohio to earn money to return to the university.
