There are better quality versions of these performances on the "Consciously Unreal" bootleg, albeit they're about a semitone flat. This was Charlie Dominici's last show in Dream Theater, and showcases why he absolutely needed to be replaced. The poor guy was just straining to sing material which was way out of his range. It is an interesting historical document nonetheless, especially the pre-Images and Words performance of Metropolis.

The album is composed mainly of material that originally surfaced during the band’s early years as Majesty, and is the only Dream Theater album to feature Charlie Dominici on vocals, as James LaBrie replaced Dominici as the lead vocalist on subsequent albums. No release results - showing artist results instead. Distance Over Time Inside Out Music 2019. Afterlife isn't a terrible song, but it's not a particularly good one either. In all honesty, I find this track rather repetitive. This is the oldest song on 'When Dream And Day Unite' and was written in 1986, although the lyrics have been changed from the original version by Dominici.
Dream Theater - "Distance Over Time" Album Teaser. Dream Theater's upcoming release, "Distance Over Time", comes out in February, 2019. With this album, a return to the band's roots, Dream Theater hoped to create a fan engagement experience unlike any previously undertaken.
The definitive Dream Theater album, a must hear for every music lover! There are so many good Dream Theater albums that it was a hard decision but I really had to go with this one. It had the best atmosphere. It's a sad song depending on Portnoy's mother's death in the early 1990s in a plane crash. But its 23 minutes is so good and awesome! Perhaps this masterpiece has been drowned because it's not an album per se; still, should be rised only because of its title track; everything is perfect there.
Dream Theater was formed in Long Island, New York, in the mid 1980s, originally as Majesty, by a trio of Berklee College of Music students - guitarist John Petrucci, bassist John Myung, and drummer Mike Portnoy – and a high school friend of Petrucci’s, Kevin Moore, on keyboards. Over the next few years, the young band recorded a series of demos (released on cassette as The Majesty Demos) while perfecting their craft, working with several vocalists before hiring the much older Charlie Dominici to record their debut album, When Dream and Day Unite, for the independent Mechanic Records.
