On Air – Live at the BBC Volume 2 is a 2013 live/compilation album featuring 40 previously unreleased tracks from the Beatles' 1963–1964 BBC Radio broadcasts (accompanied by 23 interview tracks from the associated broadcasts). It was released on 11 November 2013, along with a remastered and repackaged Live at the BBC Volume 1, which was originally released in 1994
The initial American version was released on Lingasong Records, but the same poor recordings have been reissued endlessly, and this is one of those reissues, containing only half the recordings at that.
A new companion to The Beatles’ first BBC collection, On Air – Live at the BBC Volume 2, will be released Monday, November 11 in 2CD and 180-gram vinyl packages with a 48-page booklet. On Air’s 63 tracks, none of which overlaps with The Beatles’ first BBC release, include 37 previously unreleased performances and 23 previously unreleased recordings of in-studio banter and conversation between the band’s members and their BBC radio hosts. In the studios of the British Broadcasting Corporation, The Beatles performed music for a variety of radio shows. Ten of On Air’s songs were never recorded by the group for EMI in the 1960s, including two making their debuts with the new release: The Beatles’ direct-to-air performance of Chuck Berry’s I’m Talking About You and a rocking cover of the standard Beautiful Dreamer.

Beatles fans have discovered that a new anthology of previously unreleased recordings of the band from mid-1960s appearances on BBC radio is due out this fall, The Guardian reports. MCA Music in the Philippines, a division of Universal Music, is releasing On Air – Live at the BBC Volume 2 in November. The first volume was released in 1994 and featured 56 songs and 13 dialogue tracks from Beatles’ appearances on the BBC. Beatles Fans Swarm Abbey Road for 44th Anniversary. None of them feature Pete Best as no BBC recording earlier than January 1963 has been officially released. All drumming on the official releases of BBC material is by Ringo.
