King Diamond are a Danish heavy metal band formed in 1985 by vocalist King Diamond, guitarists Andy LaRocque and Michael Denner, bassist Timi Hansen and drummer Mikkey Dee. Diamond, Denner and Hansen had recently departed the group Mercyful Fate, and decided to form a new band under the King Diamond moniker, as it was already known from the Mercyful Fate days. In 1986, King Diamond released their debut album Fatal Portrait
God Save the Queen (Spanish: Dios Salve a la Reina) is an Argentine Queen tribute-band formed in 1998. The band's members are: Pablo Padin (vocals), Francisco Calgaro (guitar), Matias Albornoz (drums) and Ezequiel Tibaldo (bass). The band takes their name from the United Kingdom's national anthem which was played on tape at the end of every Queen show while the band took their bows.
The phrase God Save the King occurs in several places in the earliest English translations of the Bible. Oddly enough, although it was loyal, it was not yet regarded as sacred music. It was sung for the first time at a Coronation for the crowning of George IV, though a part of the congregation in the Abbey pointedly sang God Save The Queen to show where their sympathies lay in the question of the Royal Divorce. William IV listened to an odd performance when he and Queen Adelaide opened the new London Bridge in 1831.
