So I was thinking about Flight 714 to Sydney and I realized that while the aliens saved the day in the end Captain Haddock is the real hero of the story. Essentially if Haddock hadn’t given Laszlo Carreidas the spare cash, Calculus would not have found the bill making Carreidas laugh and thus granting them a spot on his private jet. And if Haddock, Tintin, and Snowy weren’t on that ill-fated flight, Rastapopoulos would have succeeded in his plan meaning he would have killed Carreidas, Skut, and Gino.
