Released March 11, 2016. Good Grief Tracklist. Good Grief is the sophomore effort of Brooklyn indie pop band Lucius, released on March 11, 2016. The album was announced in December 2015 with the lead single, Born Again Teen. After the runaway success of their debut LP, Wildewoman, the band went on tour for two years, during which lead vocalists Holly Laessig and Jess Wolfe wrote most of their second album
The album boasts cleaner production, bigger instrumentation, and more danceable hooks. It also marks a shift from the 60’s girl power pop sound of Wildewoman, to a sleek, 80’s synth-pop sound that has seen a reemergence recently. It isn’t a bad shift, it just doesn’t feel like a necessary one. Lucius aren’t doing anything new or ground-breaking with this album. Granted, they weren’t doing anything new with Wildewoman, but that album sounded different from other current pop outfits
Something About You. What We Have (To Change). My Heart Got Caught On Your Sleeve. Almost Makes Me Wish For Rain.

Lucius knows just how Browne felt
The latest album from Lucius, Good Grief, is a shinier, poppier, bigger version of the Lucius many of us fell in love with on Wildewoman. If Wildewoman was the soundtrack to an -com, then Good Grief is the soundtrack to the blockbuster version starring Jennifer Aniston. Not saying that's a bad thing, but if you are looking for the quirky, delicate to swooping vocal harmonies and minimalist instrumentation, you'll find fewer moments on the new album. Good Grief is an album of power ballads, poppy R&B and a dash of Dusty Springfield-esque singing for balance
Release date: 11 March 2016. Country: United States. On Brooklyn quintet Lucius’ second album, duel vocalists Jess Wolfe and Holly Lessig bring identical eye popping fashion and vocal harmonies, leaving Dan Molad, Peter Lalish and Andrew Burri to provide moustaches, drums and guitars. Most lead singles give a taster of the album, which makes Born Again Teen an odd choice, its brash, noisy and vocally too high pitched and not at all representative of the rest of the album
Good Grief is the 2016 album by Brooklyn indie pop band Lucius. Released on PIAS Recordings, Mom + Pop Music and Dine Alone Records, their second album peaked at number 92 on the Billboard 200 chart.
