Fleetwood Mac is the tenth studio album by British-American rock band Fleetwood Mac, released in July 1975 by Reprise Records. It was the band's second eponymous album, the first being their 1968 debut album. Among Fleetwood Mac fans, the album is often referred to as The White Album. This is the first Fleetwood Mac album to feature Lindsey Buckingham as guitarist and Stevie Nicks as vocalist, after Bob Welch departed the band in late 1974

Before Rumours, I had recorded an album with Joni Mitchell at the Berkeley Community Theatre, he told Music Radar. I thought doing a similar kind of concert recital recording was perfect for ‘Songbird. Christine and the whole band loved the idea. As a surprise for Christine, I had requested that a bouquet of roses be placed on her piano with three colored spotlights to illuminate them from above. 10. Annie Leibovitz’s Rolling Stone cover shoot sowed the seeds of Nicks’ affair with Fleetwood. Fleetwood Mac’s incestuous reputation was played for laughs on their first Rolling Stone cover, which depicted the entire band in bed with one another.
